How it’s made

We pride ourselves on quality and value for money, and your purchase of our Besp-Oak kitchens ranges will be one you can be proud of. Relax in the knowledge that the cabinets from the Besp-Oak kitchens range are some of the strongest and well-built in the UK.

Firstly the cabinets are made from sustainably sourced timber predominantly from the oak farms of Germany and North America. Secondly all the timber is covered by the EUTR (European Union Timber Regulation) so you can be assured that your kitchen didn’t cost the earth. The timber is then turned, machined and crafted into the beautiful kitchen cabinets.

We still make our furniture using the skilled craftsmanship practised over 500 years ago.  We use a basic framework construction for the carcass; Chippendale, Hepplewhite, and Mackintosh, some of the finest craftsmen in history, all used this style of manufacture. Read more about the advantages of panel construction here.

We use strong traditional timber joints, like dovetail and mortice and tenon that you know are synonymous with top quality furniture, all the cabinets come supplied kick board attached and adjustable feet fitted so you’ll have your kitchen installed in no time. Just fit the supplied knobs and you’re ready to go.

The doors and drawers are made from solid oak throughout. The doors and frames have solid oak panels front and back. They also have a water-resistant medium density fibre board, which stops the panel from splitting or warping. The drawers are also made from solid oak, using the latest top-quality runners from Blumenthal – well known as the highest quality producer of kitchen and furniture hardware.
